Volt Information Sciences mentioned in its annual report that it has a "Go Green" program. Unfortunately I was unable to find anything on the website about this program and was therefore unable to analyze almost anything environmental. This company should make the raw data about the resources it uses and the pollution it emits available online and should go into more depth about the steps it is taking to be more environmentally friendly. This would include things such as green purchasing, or lowering emissions to lower its contribution to global warming. Furthermore, this company should invest further in community development or discuss what it is currently doing to contribute to the outside community. Volt Information Sciences generates more than 80% of its sales by offering temporary and permanent employees to businesses through more than 300 branch and on-site offices in the US, Canada, and Europe. The company also publishes telephone directories (primarily in eastern and mid-Atlantic states); provides telecommunications services; and makes computer-based directory assistance, database management, and other telecommunications systems. Subsidiaries include electronic procurement system supplier ProcureStaff and outsourced customer service provider VMC Consulting.
