Analyst Comments
This is InBev's third Global Citizenship Report and they appear to be making strides in making their business practices more sustainable. They have been using significantly less energy and water over the past three years and recycled or reused 97% of total waste and byproducts. Another interesting note about InBev is their campaign against drinking and driving, and in favor of alcohol safety. They have sponsored drinking and driving programs in many countries and donated over 20,000 breathalyzers to law enforcement. These initiatives show that InBev has stellar social responsibility and is trying to educate the public about the health problems associated with the products it produces, markets, and distributes. InBev has a very good understanding of the GRI index, and reports most of the pertinent data. Analyzed by Alexander Mercer Chapman, and posted to the web on 11/20/2007.
