Student
Research Fellowships in
Environment, Economics, and Politics
The Roberts Environmental Center is offering up to five research
fellowships from the list below for CMC students in the fall 2012. The
purpose of these research fellowships is to support, encourage, and expand
the ongoing Environment, Economics, and Politics (EEP) research of CMC
students. Any of the projects may be used as the basis for a thesis for
graduating seniors, but all projects are available to CMC non-seniors as
well. These competitive fellowships provide financial assistance for
individual student research pertinent to current environmental and urban
economics issues faced by the local community. The topics below were
selected by City of Claremont Sustainability Coordinator and the City
Sustainability Committee of Sustainable Claremont; technical assistance and
initial guidance will be provided by this committee. Selection of winners
will be made by the Roberts Environmental Center. Each project carries a
student stipend of $1000, and a faculty stipend of $500. In the application,
students must identify a Claremont Colleges faculty member willing to
oversee the project. The final project report must be completed by April 1,
2013.
